 Who's Behind Glossolalia?

Kristen Hovet (aka Vesper de Vil)

Glossolalia founder and editor

Kristen Hovet is a fiction and non-fiction writer who began blogging at Vesper's Escape in 2004. A certain writing-for-survival format eventually evolved into a more creative direction, and she began to see the necessity of supporting an artistic and imaginative vision that blossomed beyond the bounds of a difficult and confusing past.

One day, while trying to articulate the creative process, she spoke of "alchemizing" one's experiences to create art. Mere exposition is never enough. This articulation inspired the birth of Glossolalia.

Kristen has a degree in English from Simon Fraser University. When she's not working at her day job or writing, her other interests and activities include acting, modelling, music, psychology, philosophy, yoga, and travel. She's interested in getting her hands on a camera and making short films. (Flash Films anyone???!?!?!)

Brendan
Glossolalia writer and co-editor

Brendan has received training in Arts and Entertainment management. He is currently working for the Vancouver International Jazz Festival in artist hospitality. He's a contributing editor at Vesper's Escape and is an avid film buff. His other interests and activities include music, guitar, piano, visual arts, and travel.

In the future, he will be Canada's first space captain.
